June Caldwell, Ed.S.
As an educator and a mother, myself, I am aware how much every parent wants the caring, loving, and nurturing environment for their children, especially when it comes to leaving their babies at a childcare facility. I have worked in the public education system since 2004. I attended Mississippi State University where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counselor Education. I attended William Carey University where I earned a Master's endorsement in School Psychometry. I also earned an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from NorthCentral University. I have 10 years experience as a school counselor where I worked with kiddos from PreK to 8th grade. I addressed each individual's academic, personal/social and career readiness goals and/or concerns. I also worked as a school psychometrist for 5 years, where I evaluated kiddos turning 3 up through high school for gifted and/or special education services. I realize the world of childcare and education is constantly evolving, so I am always attempting to learn something new to better myself and ultimately to provide better education services to the children in my care.
I am a Mississippi State Bulldog graduate where I pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. So you are asking yourself, "Why a Daycare?" While pursuing my degree, I thought working at daycare would be something fulfilling & fun I could do. I worked there for three years and fell in love with all of the kids. So much so, that I have 5 of my own. It's kind of easy to light up the kids faces because I am nothing but a 6'2" kid. I look forward to welcoming your family to ours!
I have been working with children for over thirty-three years. I’m married and we have three beautiful daughters and a three-year-old granddaughter. Before Kiddie University, I had my own child care center in my home. I have worked with children of varies ages, ranging from 6 weeks to 17. I’ve also worked with children with special needs and various levels of learning disabilities. I went to Mott Community College in Flint Michigan for Early Childhood Education. I plan on furthering my education in the childcare field. I love working with children, watching them grow and blossom into successful young leaders. In my spare time, I spend time with my family. We love to shop, travel, and watch my youngest daughter compete in dance.

PreK Lead Teacher/The Scholars
I began my teaching career in Cleveland after graduating from Lee University where I earned my bachelors degree in Early Childhood, Elementary and Special Education. Afterwards I moved to Oklahoma to pursue my Master's degree in Elementary and Special Education. Later, I took a teaching position in North Carolina where I taught for 26 years. While in NC, I adopted two beautiful girls in 2005 and 2007. Makayla and Molly are now 13 and 15 and the light of my life. We moved back to Cleveland in 2017 to help with my elderly mother. Last year I taught Pre-K and decided this is what I want to do at this time in my life. As a teacher, I strive to help little ones develop confidence, values and I hope to inspire creativity. Children teach me every day to keep my mind and heart open to all I am continuing to learn. I will never give them anything less than my best as I challenge them to be all the can be.

I am very excited to have your kiddos in my class every day! I grew up in Idaho, moved to Kansas for college and received a Bachelor’s in Bible from Manhattan Christian College and a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Kansas State University, then moved back to Idaho to begin my teaching career. While teaching, I received my Master’s degree online through Concordia University as a Reading Specialist. I taught first grade for 1 year and kindergarten for 7 years before moving to Tennessee almost 5 years ago. Since then, I have worked as a substitute teacher and a teachers aide in Cleveland City Schools and I taught kindergarten for 1 year in Chattanooga. I enjoy spending time with my husband, our new baby boy, and our 3 dogs. I am excited to join Kiddie University and seeing the kiddos learn new things everyday!

Lead Teacher/The Innovators
Several years ago, while in college, I came across an opportunity to be an after-school care teacher for a small preschool located in Chattanooga called Marty’s Center. Marty ran a unique facility that helped children with various hearing impairments and speech impediments. Most of the children communicated mainly using sign language. This was the job that changed the path I was on; I then knew I wanted to eventually pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education. Something about the children’s natural curiosity and drive to learn always gave me motivation to give the job my all. I love seeing children succeed and accomplish goals they have worked towards for an a given amount of time. Since then, I have worked at various facilities that all gave me different experiences to draw from and build on as an educator. I have worked with varying types of curriculums and lesson planning such as Reggio Emilia styles of learning. During my time in childcare, I have also had the privilege of being a lead teacher in three potty training classrooms. Although potty training may not be the most glamorous part of my job, I am blessed to be able to love what I do for a living. In May I will be graduating from Chattanooga State with my associate degree in Early Childhood Education. I then plan to complete my bachelor’s degree at ETSU. Besides my career as an educator, I recently got engaged in March of 2020 and will be getting married October 2021 to my very best friend. I have two amazing fur babies that I love very much, but no children of my own just yet. I love coffee and chocolate just a little too much, and I am obsessed with all things sparkle. I hope to one day be a director of an early childcare facility. I am very excited to be joining the team at Kiddie U!
Lead Teacher/The Discoverers
I graduated from Polk County High School in 2013. Since then, I have been following my passion for teaching and learning. I have been surrounded by children my entire life through younger siblings, nieces, nephews, summer camps, and Vacation Bible Schools. In working through VBS, my husband and I have taken on the challenge of working with the youth, coordinating fall festivals, egg hunts, and service learning at our church. For the past three years, I have been working with infants and have found a passion for helping families and leading them to resources. This sparked a love of humanity and inspired me to further my education. I am currently finishing an Associate of Science from Cleveland State Community College and will transfer to finish out my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work at Liberty University in August. I love all things involving coffee, wearing bows in my hair, and spending time with my husband and 2-year-old son, Judah. I cannot wait to love and nurture your little dreamer's mind, and be a helpmate to your family!
Lead Teacher/ The Imagineers
Hi, my name is Ashley Cox. I grew up in the small town of Dayton TN. I was given an opportunity in the 7th grade to be a teacher's assistant in my middle school for a kindergarten classroom. At first it was simple things such as grading or helping clean up but as time passed even on into my 8th grade year she allowed me to help out more and this is where it all began! I even went back to the same school and teacher for job shadowing my junior/senior years of high school. I was hooked. I knew then my passion for teaching was deep, watching them understand and learn new things gives me pure joy. I evenutally attended college for Early Childhood Education but had to cut that short due to having my own Beautiful Daughter, who is now 6! I had to take a different life path to provide for her. Now at the young age of 27 I have been given the chance to finally fulfill my dream of being a Teacher through Kiddie University. I could not be more excited for this opportunity. I look forward to meeting and working with all of your children!
Lead Teacher/ The Dreamers
I am so excited to meet your children and spend my days with them. I started working in childcare five years ago and that’s when I found out what my passion was. I love being able to be a part of young children’s lives so much that I decided to return to school and get my degree in Early Childhood Education. I am currently enrolled at Cleveland State to get my associates. It has taken me longer than most because I am also a mother/wife to four boys (3 children and 1 husband), and I had to make sure I wasn’t filling my plate too much. I am a huge kid at heart and love to have a fun time while also teaching. I am so blessed that God has given me the traits to care for someone’s most precious gift, and I look forward to doing that for you and your family at Kiddie University!!!
I recently graduated from Cleveland High School in May of 2019. I plan to attend Cleveland State Community College on a basketball scholarship. I am studying to earn my Associates degree in Pre-Physical Therapy. My plan is to sign a dual intent agreement with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga to obtain my Bachelors in Exercise Science. Afterwards, I plan to acquire my Doctorate in Pediatric Physical Therapy. I've been working with children since I was a freshman in high school. This includes experience in the nursery at Tennova Hospital, babysitting, and coaching youth basketball and soccer teams. My goal at Kiddie U is to establish and maintain an environment that is value driven resulting in well-rounded individuals who pursue excellence presently and throughout life.
Hello! I am so excited to get to meet you and your kiddos. I am originally from Illinois and I am currently enrolled at Lee University as an Elementary Education major. I love to go for long drives, hiking, and paddling. My goal is to make a safe environment for children to grow and be a well-rounded child. I want to see them excel in all that they do.
