Also temporarily accepting school age kiddos (5-12 years of age).
June Caldwell, Ed.S.
As an educator and a mother, myself, I am aware how much every parent wants the caring, loving, and nurturing environment for their children, especially when it comes to leaving their babies at a childcare facility. I have worked in the public education system since 2004. I attended Mississippi State University where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counselor Education. I attended William Carey University where I earned a Master's endorsement in School Psychometry. I also earned an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from NorthCentral University. I have 10 years experience as a school counselor where I worked with kiddos from PreK to 8th grade. I addressed each individual's academic, personal/social and career readiness goals and/or concerns. I also worked as a school psychometrist for 5 years, where I evaluated kiddos turning 3 up through high school for gifted and/or special education services. I realize the world of childcare and education is constantly evolving, so I am always attempting to learn something new to better myself and ultimately to provide better education services to the children in my care.
I am a Mississippi State Bulldog graduate where I pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. So you are asking yourself, "Why a Daycare?" While pursuing my degree, I thought working at daycare would be something fulfilling & fun I could do. I worked there for three years and fell in love with all of the kids. So much so, that I have 5 of my own. It's kind of easy to light up the kids faces because I am nothing but a 6'2" kid. I look forward to welcoming your family to ours!
I have been working with children for over thirty-three years. I’m married and we have three beautiful daughters and a three-year-old granddaughter. Before Kiddie University, I had my own child care center in my home. I have worked with children of varies ages, ranging from 6 weeks to 17. I’ve also worked with children with special needs and various levels of learning disabilities. I went to Mott Community College in Flint Michigan for Early Childhood Education. I plan on furthering my education in the childcare field. I love working with children, watching them grow and blossom into successful young leaders. In my spare time, I spend time with my family. We love to shop, travel, and watch my youngest daughter compete in dance.
I am so excited to have your kiddo in my class this year. I am originally from North Carolina but have fallen in love with Cleveland. I am currently an Education student at Lee University and am over the moon to be graduating in July. I have been working with kids since I was little, but I think my favorite opportunity was this past summer when I taught in South America. The experience taught me to love teaching not only in English but in Spanish too. When I am not in a classroom, I love to spend time with my family, watch basketball and take care of my animals. I have nineteen fish and one hamster named Fulkerson who my boyfriend lovingly named after the Tennessee Vols basketball player. My main goal as your kiddo’s teacher is to create a safe environment in which they can learn to love learning. I believe learning comes in all sorts of forms and I can’t wait for us to explore that.

PreK Lead Teacher/The Leaders
I began my teaching career in Cleveland after graduating from Lee University where I earned my bachelors degree in Early Childhood, Elementary and Special Education. Afterwards I moved to Oklahoma to pursue my Master's degree in Elementary and Special Education. Later, I took a teaching position in North Carolina where I taught for 26 years. While in NC, I adopted two beautiful girls in 2005 and 2007. Makayla and Molly are now 13 and 15 and the light of my life. We moved back to Cleveland in 2017 to help with my elderly mother. Last year I taught Pre-K and decided this is what I want to do at this time in my life. As a teacher, I strive to help little ones develop confidence, values and I hope to inspire creativity. Children teach me every day to keep my mind and heart open to all I am continuing to learn. I will never give them anything less than my best as I challenge them to be all the can be.
PreK Assistant Teacher/The Leaders
I am a Cleveland High School and Cleveland State Alumni. I am recently married to my beautiful wife, Violet. We both have Slavic backgrounds and serve in our Russian-speaking church here in town. I have always had a passion for leading young minds, and gradually, the age group I’ve worked with has gotten younger and younger. I mainly have experience with Elementary School aged kids. I have been blessed in my life to have two loving parents who raised their 8 children in what I consider the best way possible. Their example of love, along with my personal teaching philosophy, is what I carry with me when working with children. I have a deeply rooted passion for what I do, I care about every child I work with as if they were my own, and I look
forward to serving you!

I recently graduated from Cleveland High School in May of 2019. I plan to attend Cleveland State Community College on a basketball scholarship. I am studying to earn my Associates degree in Pre-Physical Therapy. My plan is to sign a dual intent agreement with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga to obtain my Bachelors in Exercise Science. Afterwards, I plan to acquire my Doctorate in Pediatric Physical Therapy. I've been working with children since I was a freshman in high school. This includes experience in the nursery at Tennova Hospital, babysitting, and coaching youth basketball and soccer teams. My goal at Kiddie U is to establish and maintain an environment that is value driven resulting in well-rounded individuals who pursue excellence presently and throughout life.
Hello! I am so excited to get to meet you and your kiddos. I am originally from Illinois and I am currently enrolled at Lee University as an Elementary Education major. I love to go for long drives, hiking, and paddling. My goal is to make a safe environment for children to grow and be a well-rounded child. I want to see them excel in all that they do.
This fall, I will be a sophomore at Allegheny College and I play basketball for their Women’s Basketball team. I love playing with little children of all ages! Being able to see them laugh and see the world differently than we do is amazing. I cannot wait to see what I can learn from the kids I meet!
My ultimate goal in life is to become, for others, who I needed when I was younger. I strive to spend every single day reflecting that. I’ve spent several years volunteering my time as a teacher’s assistant, assisting in an after-school program, and learning as much as I can about allowing kiddos to express their minds in a creative manner. I moved to Cleveland 4 years ago from a tiny town in Northeast Mississippi to be a part of a dance ministry called Remnant. I currently work for an organization called Mercy’s Door where I have the privilege of being a Relief Parent in a group home for foster girls. I am learning patience, practicing unconditional love in the tough times, and also gaining wisdom with every single good and bad experience. My willingness to learn and grow will never cease. I will do anything and everything to be the absolute best person I can be for your children. I have such a high expectancy for this experience and I cannot wait to be a part of this journey with you!
I have 3 children, and 3 beautiful grand-daughters. I have been in childcare most of my life, as a mother, grandmother, pre-school teacher, and a daycare director. I am excited to be a part of Kiddie University's team!
