Our Family

As an educator and a mother, myself, I am aware how much every parent wants the caring, loving, and nurturing environment for their children, especially when it comes to leaving their babies at a childcare facility.  I have worked in the public education system since 2004. I attended Mississippi State University where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counselor Education. I attended William Carey University where I earned a Master's endorsement in School Psychometry.  I also earned an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from NorthCentral University.  I have 10 years experience as a school counselor where I worked with kiddos from PreK to 8th grade.  I addressed each individual's academic, personal/social and career readiness goals and/or concerns.  I also worked as a school psychometrist for 5 years, where I evaluated kiddos turning 3 up through high school for gifted and/or special education services.  I realize the world of childcare and education is constantly evolving, so I am always attempting to learn something new to better myself and ultimately to provide better education services to the children in my care.

I am a Mississippi State Bulldog graduate where I pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics.  So you are asking yourself, "Why a Daycare?"  While pursuing my degree, I thought working at daycare would be something fulfilling & fun I could do.  I worked there for three years and fell in love with all of the kids. So much so, that I have 5 of my own.  It's kind of easy to light up the kids faces because I am nothing but a 6'2" kid.  I look forward to welcoming your family to ours!

I have been working with children for over thirty-three years.  I’m married and we have three beautiful daughters and a three-year-old granddaughter.  Before Kiddie University, I had my own child care center in my home.  I have worked with children of varies ages, ranging from 6 weeks to 17.  I’ve also worked with children with special needs and various levels of learning disabilities.  I went to Mott Community College in Flint Michigan for Early Childhood Education.  I plan on furthering my education in the childcare field.  I love working with children, watching them grow and blossom into successful young leaders.  In my spare time, I spend time with my family.   We love to shop, travel, and watch my youngest daughter compete in dance.

I grew up in Michigan, but have lived in Cleveland since going to Lee University in 2006. I also grew up visiting family nearby in Tennessee and North Carolina. This area has always been my second home. I am a wife to my wonderful husband for almost 11 years and a mom to our amazing little boy who turns 4 this summer!  I've been a school counselor for the past 8 years, and I also majored in elementary education. During college, I worked as a childcare teacher for infants up to school age! I currently am the department head of the baby and toddler nurseries at my church. I love kids!! Caring for and teaching them has been my God-given passion since I was young! I am excited to start this new journey working with Kiddie U! I can't wait to show love to your kids like they were my own and help them grow and develop physically, mentally, and emotionally!

PreK Lead Teacher/The Leaders

Sandee Kidd, M.Ed.

I began my teaching career in Cleveland after graduating from Lee University where I earned my bachelors degree in Early Childhood, Elementary and Special Education. Afterwards I moved to Oklahoma to pursue my Master's degree in Elementary and Special Education. Later, I took a teaching position in North Carolina where I taught for 26 years. While in NC, I adopted two beautiful girls in 2005 and 2007. Makayla and Molly are now 13 and 15 and the light of my life. We moved back to Cleveland in 2017 to help with my elderly mother. Last year I taught Pre-K and decided this is what I want to do at this time in my life. As a teacher, I strive to help little ones develop confidence, values and I hope to inspire creativity. Children teach me every day to keep my mind and heart open to all I am continuing to learn. I will never give them anything less than my best as I challenge them to be all the can be.

I can not wait to meet you and your wonderful children! I was born and raised here in beautiful Cleveland, Tennessee. I’m currently engaged to be married to the man of my dreams in October. I absolutely love teaching and working with children! One of the many things I remember when I was a child was how much I loved school, my teachers, and learning. It is one of the many things that brought me to major in Early Childhood Education as I pursue my bachelor's degree. My main goal as your child’s teacher is to make sure they are happy, safe, excited to learn, and ask questions about the world around us. We are going to have so much fun being the Innovators God calls each of us to be!
